Okay I swore to myself that I'd leave songs to my young friend Fairweather. Unfortunately today this song has been in my mind.
I guess it's because of that little visit of Sadie's on my birthday.
I've heard since then that Sadie and Roscoe have been over to the dry county that houses the Jack Daniels plant. Most people would assume that she went to try the Jack Daniels sippin whiskey and they would be wrong.
There unfortunately is a family connection there. Unfortunate for their brother that is.
Sadie's mother and daddy went to tour that distillery on their honeymoon and got more than a little friskey behind some aged tuns. Nine months later Jack Daniels Willows was born. Jack worked and retired from that same plant.
And, the old joke is, he lives in "the house that Jack built".
(Sadie is the one who loves this joke.)
I'm looking to have to go "on the road again" and I really CAN wait.
